Frequently asked questions

What is my Dashboard?

As soon as you're signed in you'll be taken to the Dashboard. The Dashboard will spotlight new content available on ClickView. If you scroll down the page you'll also find a list of the most popular videos in the college, your recently viewed videos, and videos recently added to the Libraries section by the college's ClickView administrator.

What are Libraries in ClickView

In the Libraries section you'll find collections of videos grouped in relevant categories. The Library is moderated by the college's ClickView administrator. Within you will find videos which have been selected from ClickView's content collection with specific college departments in mind.
You can also check out the ClickView libraries which cover subjects such as Arts and Recreation, Health and Public Sector, Natural Resources, Technology and many more.

What's the Exchange?

The ClickView Exchange is a community for educators. Here you can find content which has been chosen by ClickView users. It includes content that has been uploaded from broadcast television as well as original content which has been produced by the users themselves.
There are three golden rules of adding content to the exchange:

  • Is it educational?
  • Is it good quality?
  • Is it within copyright?
If you come across content that breaks any of these rules, you can flag it for quality or legality and it will be reviewed by the ClickView team.

What is the Workspace?

The Workspace is your personal area. You have 40GB of space to store ClickView content that you've found and any interactive videos you have created. If you've found something that you wish to share with your colleagues, you can add it to the college Library from the video, or from your Workspace. From the Workspace you can do this by clicking Options > Add to library. This will prompt a pop-up window where you can add a message to the ClickView administrator for the college, who will review the request

How do I make a Playlist?

In the Playlists area you can created and manage your playlists. A playlist is a personalised list of videos created from ClickView Online resources, your school's video library or even your own videos. You can gather related videos and put them into a playlist that can be conveniently viewed or shared at any time. Clikc the image below to watch a short video on how to create a playlist.

What is the TV area?

The TV area contains content which has been broadcast in the last three weeks on Freeview television. You can search for content, view by channel, or view the TV guide which will allow you to see a schedule of content the ClickView Curation team have marked as relevant to the classroom. In addition to UK channels such as BBC One, STV, and Channel 4, you can find radio content from BBC Radio 2, 4, 5 live and more. You will also find popular European tv and radio channels France 24, TV5Monde and Tagesschau24
